Thrive pathways

Thrive Pathways is a programme of work that is aimed at improving mental health outcomes and creating the conditions for prevention-based care by accelerating the application of innovation and research to close the treatment gap in children and young people’s mental health care.

Thrive Pathways addresses the most urgent need by developing rapid, targeted solutions in health pathways where delivery is most pressured, or mental health outcomes are poorest. In doing this, we hope to effect substantial advancements in the mental well-being of those cohorts most in need, and, thereby, release system capacity and resource.

Each Thrive Pathway is focused on a defined cohort or care pathway; strongly weighted towards early intervention or prevention; and operationalises the THRIVE Framework principle into practice.

In our first year we are working closely with partners to:

  • Improve outcomes and experience for neurodiverse children.
  • Reduce the number of delayed discharge bed days in Tier 4 CAMHS.
