We are working to use science and technology to help our healthcare leaders and patients design sustainable healthcare systems that can adapt to changing needs.
Our healthcare systems are struggling to meet demands and deliver improvements with available resources. Resource being invested in late-stage hospital care would likely be better used in interventions targeting prevention, early diagnosis and early treatment. And there are clear difficulties in coordination, meaning some services may be confusing to our public.
We see a huge potential to transform care through new models with novel technology, patient empowerment and new workforce models. We’ll be exploring these opportunities over the next five years.
