Academics and researchers

We facilitate the creation of new, multi-disciplinary and collaborative research partnerships that operate on a larger scale to benefit patients and communities.

These collaborations help academics to address the health imperatives of our time and meet their research funder priorities. By involving our highly diverse communities, we can create ambitious research projects at scale and test solutions with finely targeted and niche groups.  

Our Academic Health Science Centre (AHSC) combines the expertise of five hospitals and three universities to drive the translation of innovative research into patient benefit. 

We work closely with NIHR ARC North Thames and NIHR CRN North Thames to support applied health research and clinical trials across our region, and to ensure that this research leads to improved care.
