AHSC members ranked 1 and 2 for public health in the UK

15 July 2020
Two member institutions of the UCLPartners Academic Health Science Centre (AHSC) ranked 1 and 2 for public health.

Two member institutions of the UCLPartners Academic Health Science Centre (AHSC) have been ranked 1 and 2 in the UK for public health, and 3 and 7 globally.

London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) has been ranked 1st in the UK and 3rd globally,  and UCL have been ranked number 2nd in the UK and 7th in the world in the rankings for public health by ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2020.

Both AHSC members have made significant contributions to the national efforts around COVID-19 through their world-leading research and clinical expertise.  LSHTM has recently been announced as a partner in  a major UK research study into the long-term health impacts of COVID-19 on hospitalised patients. UCL has recently launched Virus Watch, inviting 42,500 people to take part in one of the largest and most comprehensive studies of Covid-19 in the UK to study the next phase of the pandemic.

Our AHSC – recently re-designated for a further five years – brings together world-leading research and clinical expertise to transform the prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of the greatest health challenges affecting our population.
