We are delighted to report that the More than Mentors peer mentoring programme has received some well-deserved publicity. Programme lead Simon Munk was interviewed for Children & Young People online magazine after they read about the pilot on this website. Details of the emotional resilience programme, which ran in two Newham secondary schools for three months, feature as a case study in an article about the potential for peer mentoring plans in schools. The article also features comments from childcare minister Sam Gyimah who is setting up a ministerial advisory board to assess what makes an effective school mentoring scheme.
