Inspired by People – UCLPartners hosts TEDxNHS livestream

17 August 2017

On Tuesday 15 August we were delighted to welcome our colleagues from across four different trusts, primary care and pharmacy to join us watching the livestream of the TEDxNHS 2017 event Inspired by People.

We heard from amazing people within our NHS who have inspirational stories and aspirational ideas. TEDxNHS brings these people together once a year to share their stories on a national stage. The aim of the event was to foster and spread great ideas, whilst inspiring new connections and actions in the NHS community so we leave inspired to think differently, dream bigger and design better for the population we serve.

These ideas and talks were grouped within three themes:

  • Rising to the challenge
  • Empowering the mind
  • Embracing the unknown

We were also delighted to see innovators with different experiences, backgrounds, professions and from different areas across the country on stage, including a familiar face, Paul Jennings, from the NHS Innovation Accelerator. Each talk shared a powerful journey or showed the difference that one person can make to improving care in the NHS.

We also enjoyed hearing from Lance McCarthy who is Chief Executive of Princess Alexandra Hospitals, a partner organisation.

If you missed out on the event, but would like to see the talks from it, please register on the www.tedxnhs.com website where the talks will be published in the future.
