Significant Care webinar – supporting carers during COVID-19 and beyond

15 May 2020, 3-3:45pm | ONLINE
Opportunity to learn about Significant Care - a paper based tool designed to help support older people, their carers’ and families.

Significant Care is a free tool designed to help carers spot the early signs of deterioration in the health of those they care for and to make good decisions about what to do to help. It was developed in partnership with carers groups across UCLPartners, North East London, Care City, NELFT and Basildon and Brentwood who identified a need for basic health and care skills guidance.

The tool aims to help carers both at home and in a care home setting to identify the signs of deterioration in the person specifically related to their skin, toilet habits, mobility and levels of confusion and take prompt action.

You can download the tool and watch an introductory video here.

This 45 min webinar is an opportunity for all the carers and those supporting them to discuss the tool directly with its creator Geraldine Rodgers, ask any questions and share their experience and learning with others.

Please note: Webinar login details will be circulated to registered attendees closer to the date.
