Preventing cardiovascular disease: Patient and carer involvement

We are working with patients and carers to understand their experiences of being tested and treated for high blood pressure, atrial fibrillation and high cholesterol, and to understand how testing and treating can be improved in the primary care setting.

In March 2020 we held a patient and public involvement event, attended by approximately 30 people with high risk CVD conditions, and carers. The participants came from across the UCLPartners region, representing a diverse range of age, gender, and ethnicity.

The aim of the event was to gather insights and information to enable better identification and treatment of people with high blood pressure, atrial fibrillation and high cholesterol in the primary care setting.
