We are inviting teams and organisations from across our partnership to become part of a Learning from Excellence Community.
Safety in healthcare has traditionally focused on avoiding harm by learning from error. This approach may miss opportunities to learn from excellent practice. We believe that studying excellence in healthcare can create new opportunities for learning and improving team resilience. Furthermore showing appreciation to colleagues cultivates a positive workplace. Whether you are keen to spread “Learning from Excellence” further within your organisation, or want to know how to get started, we’d like to hear from you.
This supportive community will run for 12 months initially and will involve:
- Four half-day community events co-designed with participating teams – the first event will take place on 28 November 2018 at UCLPartners
- A toolkit to cover the essentials of implementing Learning from Excellence for teams to use in practice
- Sharing learning and peer support between teams and organisations
There is no limit to the number of people who can join from each organisation, and you can register together or separately. The community is open to both clinical and non-clinical staff.
If you would like to join, or if you just want a bit more info about the Learning from Excellence community, simply email QI@uclpartners.com with your name, organisation, contact details. If you’re requesting to join please add the details of any of your colleagues who would like to join. The first event will take place on 28 November 2018 at UCLPartners.
