Strategic Communications Lead

1-year fixed term, full time.
We are looking for an experienced communications professional with strong skills in external affairs, horizon-scanning and proactive media engagement to join us in a year-long maternity cover role.
Salary: £45,000 - £60,000

The role

The Strategic Communications Lead will design and deliver engaging communication campaigns to raise the profile of UCLPartners’ work to address health challenges through innovation. You will have strong skills in external affairs, with experience of horizon-scanning, stakeholder mapping and proactive media engagement. You will be excited by the opportunity to build reach, engagement and profile as part of a busy and dynamic team in an organisation with a strong social purpose to improve health through innovation.

The role reports to the Head of Communications and will work closely with individuals from across the organisation to ensure development and delivery of effective communications plans that support our strategic priorities. You’ll interact with a diverse range of external stakeholders too, including regional and national experts on health and care innovation, data and delivery, as well as your communications counterparts at Academic Health Science Networks (AHSNs) across the country.

Interviews will be held on 20 June. We’re looking for someone to start the role as soon as possible, ideally no later than the end of July.
