Senior Communications Officer (Research)

0.6 FTE (3 days per week or equivalent), fixed term contract for two years with possibility of extension
We are seeking a skilled communications professional to deliver communications for the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) North Thames, a partnership of more than 60 organisations from across North Central and North East London, Essex, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per year pro rata

Are you an experienced communications professional with a passion for research? We are looking for an individual to develop communications for NIHR ARC North Thames. You will work as part of an expanding communications team that span the range of designations and functions covered by UCLPartners and develop an in-depth understanding of the applied health research being undertaken in the ARC through working closely with the research themes and individual research teams as studies progress.

In this varied role you will work with a wide range of people, including leading academics and programme staff in the ARC as well as with implementation leads and programme managers across UCLPartners’ team and partnership, patients and NHS staff.

As part of the UCLPartners communications team, you will be able to draw on the support and expertise of communications colleagues to develop professional skills. The role will be jointly line-managed by the UCLPartners Director of Communications and Engagement and the NIHR ARC North Thames Manager.
