Project Manager (ARC North Thames)

Applications are invited for a project manager to play a key role in the operation of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) North Thames. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced project manager to take a leading role in delivering this multi-institution, academic/health and care sector collaboration. The appointee will work closely with colleagues at UCL and our partner organisations. They will have a strong track record of successful project management, preferably gained in an academic environment, and the ability to deliver results in a complex setting.
This full-time post is available from Nov 2020 until June 2024.
The Project Manager will manage 4 members of professional services staff at UCL.
Key requirements
The role holder will be educated to degree level and have a strong track record of successful project management, preferably gained in an academic environment, and the ability to deliver results in a complex setting. They will have experience of managing staff. Excellent interpersonal, communication and IT skills are essential. The role holder will have the ability to manage complex budgets, and to develop and manage administrative systems and processes. They will be able to work independently, with good problem-solving skills, and the ability to use initiative.
