NHS Innovation Accelerator Project Manager
Closing date:
4 September 2022
The role
The NIA is recruiting an enthusiastic, motivated and agile project manager to support the delivery of the overall programme. As we are a small (and friendly) team, there will be interdependencies between roles; post holders will be expected to flexibly support the work of colleagues and the wider team as well as adhoc projects and programmes of work. The team is currently growing and additional project management roles are also being considered to work alongside this role, each with distinct but linked responsibilities.
The team
The NHS Innovation Accelerator is an award-winning NHS England initiative delivered in partnership with the country’s 15 Academic Health Science Networks, hosted at UCLPartners.
It was launched by Professor Sir Bruce Keogh, NHS England National Medical Director, alongside (year one) host organisations the Health Foundation (THF) and UCLPartners, on 7 January 2015. The accelerator invites leading healthcare pioneers from around the world to bring tried and tested innovations for development and diffusion across the healthcare system.
The NIA supports delivery of the commitments detailed within 2014’s Five Year Forward View and now the NHS Long Term Plan. This means delivering examples of innovation that show proven benefits for patients and populations and creating the conditions and culture necessary for such innovations to be adopted faster and more systematically throughout the NHS.
