Mental Health Integrated Care Research Lead

Fixed-term 12-month secondment
We are looking for a Mental Health Integrated Care Lead to carry out an audit of mental health input into acute trusts within North Central London.
Salary: £40,000

Closing date:
30 November 2020

The intimate link between physical and mental health is widely acknowledged. Many people in acute hospital settings suffer from mental health problems and many acute presentations of mental disorder are through hospital emergency departments. However, the provision of mental health care in such settings, both generic and specialist, varies widely and often depends on longstanding custom and practice, relationships with mental health trusts, the interests of key individuals (including academics) and general attitudes towards mental health by clinicians and managers in acute trusts.

We are recruiting a Mental Health Integrated Care Lead to carry out an audit of mental health input into acute trusts in North Central London. The scope of the audit will include both liaison with services from mental health trusts, as well as services delivered directly by the acute trusts. This audit will lead to improvements in mental healthcare and sharing of good practice throughout UCLPartners’ geography.

Interviews for this role will take place the week beginning 7 December.
