We are recruiting a senior academic professional from within our partnership to be our new Chief Research Officer and AHSC director. This is an outstanding and high-profile opportunity for an ambitious, creative and inspirational health research and innovation leader to have large-scale impact with regional, national and global influence.  We are recruiting this role at a critical time as we implement our 5-year strategy.

The Chief Research Officer and AHSC director will oversee UCLPartners collaborative research translation, invention/primary innovation portfolio. This role will be fundamental to our next phase of internal organisational transformation and development of our innovation partnership. The CRO will lead the AHSC/early innovation team as part of our operating model, working closely with our enterprise, implementation and evaluation teams, alongside other partners. We are particularly interested in leaders who will drive the application of convergence science and wider university discovery into system health benefit, including the use of AI and other novel technologies.

The postholder will be supported by a dedicated team including senior expertise in life science infrastructure, data and informatics, research and innovation operations and consortium fundraising.
