Doing Things Differently webinar series
The emerging nature of the crisis required teams and organisations to adopt an agile approach and change the way they worked, which has resulted in episodes of excellence that we can all learn from.
Each session will have a different topic focus and/or setting, but the lessons will have broad interest and applicability.
7 July 2020: Learning from Nightingale London: Implementing a Learning Systems Approach
What is a learning system? How was the approach used in setting up the Nightingale London in response to the COVID-19 crisis and what lessons can we implement more broadly?
In this webinar we learned about the approach taken by the team at the Nightingale London and how they used this to introduce agile improvements over time. In learning from what was done here, we explored what lasting lessons there are for teams and organisations who want to implement a similar approach themselves.

4 August: 2020 Staff wellbeing – learning from a national NHS crisis
The response to COVID-19 put unprecedented pressures on staff working in health and care settings.
Long hours wearing uncomfortable protective equipment, managing patients suffering from a novel disease, with rapidly changing treatment protocols and often devastating outcomes.
In the second of our Doing Things Differently series, we will learn what a variety of hospitals did to develop their training and support packages for staff during this time. In our learning, we will explore what practical tools and measures other organisations can adopt in their own setting to support the wellbeing of their staff.

23 June 2021: Vaccinating London
We invited some of the people that we met through this programme to share their experiences of vaccinating London as part of a webinar, following the work UCLPartners has done with the NHS London region as the learning partner on their Vaccine Impact Programme.
27 July 2021: The Future of Care
In July 2021, Care City published A Healthy Living – Four Stories from the Future of Care, written by their Chief Executive, John Craig. On 27 July, we held a webinar with John to explore the themes in his publication and to add perspectives from a panel of those supporting and leading the transformation of care.
