Valentina Karas

Patient Safety Programme Manager

Valentina joined UCLPartners as Patient Safety Programme Manager in November 2018.

Valentina works with partner organisations to design, deliver and evaluate improvement programmes as part of our commitment to spreading and scaling patient safety interventions. She leads on the programme to support improvements in the management of deteriorating patients in community settings, as well as adoption and spread of the ED safety checklist. Valentina also coordinates the delivery and develops activities for the Invasive Procedures Safety and Paediatric Sepsis networks.

Valentina brings wide-ranging programme management expertise, having worked extensively within the not for profit and international development consultancy sector. Prior to joining UCLPartners, Valentina spent 10 years at the Health Foundation, the last four leading the Foundation’s Scaling Up Improvement programme, supporting the regional and national spread of evidence based innovations in healthcare.
