Mandeep Butt is the Clinical Medicines Optimisation Lead for UCLPartners AHSN and has been in post since January 2019.
Mandeep is a pharmacist and has wide pharmacy experience of working across primary, community and secondary care, with over 18 years’ expertise in primary care medicines management. She has extensive experience in the NHS from frontline clinician and culminating in a senior management role as a PCT/CCG Head of Medicines Management.
She is also currently a Co-Director of the Medicines Efficiency Programme at North London Partners (North Central London STP), supporting the integration of pharmacy and medicines optimisation across the STP as they move towards an integrated care system (ICS).
In the course of her role with UCLPartners, Mandeep is supporting the Medicines Optimisation programme, namely the ‘pharmacist led, IT intervention to reduce clinical errors’ PINCER project in general practice and more recently the ‘Improving Medicines Administration in Care Homes’ project.
