We are committed to improving health and care in mental health and deliver evidence-based solutions to address these pressing healthcare challenges for our population.

The Mental Health Safety Improvement Programme (MHSIP) was a national programme aimed at improving the safety and outcomes of mental health care by reducing unwarranted variation and providing a high-quality healthcare experience for all people across the system. The programme concluded in September 2023.

We are supporting Imperial College Health Partners to coordinate a Greater London Authority scheme to help rough sleepers with mental health needs.

Approximately one in four people will experience a mental health problem each year. We work with our partners and patients to deliver sustainable impact in mental health care.

Our End of Life Care team have created two innovative suites of educational resources: Milestones (care in the last days of life in an acute hospital setting) and You Matter (care in the last weeks of life in a community healthcare setting).

In partnership with Koa Health we have developed an online service to help students assess their mental health.
