UCLPartners launches Innovation Fellowship for NHS innovators
UCLPartners has launched its first Innovation Fellowship, aimed at NHS innovators working in Integrated Care Services (ICSs) in the London and Essex region.
The 12-month Innovation Fellowship will provide six Fellows, who have developed an innovation at proof-of-concept stage, with support around key business areas and NHS relationship brokering, to scale up their solutions.
They are looking for NHS clinical and non-clinical staff, working in North East London, North Central London or Mid and South Essex ICSs, who have developed an innovation to tackle health challenges facing the NHS.1 The innovation should have atechnology element, such as devices, digital apps, IT platforms, services, pathways or models of care.
As the NHS recovers from the impact of COVID-19, the ICSs are responsible for putting national priorities into local practice, around areas such as diabetes, mental health, dementia, cancer and maternity. UCLPartners has extensive experience in supporting innovators and businesses with products and technologies addressing health priorities, to develop a realistic route to market.
“NHS staff are well-equipped to identify health challenges facing the sector and we are increasingly seeing digital solutions to meet these demands coming from within. We want to work with NHS innovators in our region, who have developed digital products or services, to get them to their next stage of growth. I am very excited to announce the launch of our first UCLPartners Innovation Fellowship that combines our deep knowledge and expertise into a programme to help improve health outcomes for patients, staff and the NHS.”
