UCLPartners launch online Quality Improvement training

20 September 2021
New online training modules provide an introduction to Quality Improvement, including how to implement a QI project.

UCLPartners have launched an online training package to support with delivering quality improvement projects.

The “Introduction to Quality Improvement” modules provide both knowledge and practical support to understand what quality improvement (QI) is and how to implement a QI project. These modules have been developed and delivered by our Quality Improvement team based on the Institute of Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Model for Improvement (MFI).

The modules are aimed at anyone undertaking a quality improvement project in healthcare, or anyone interested in making improvements and is new to QI.

The modules are free to access and can be completed at a pace that suits you.

The modules include:

  • An overview of QI
  • Where to start your QI project
  • Understanding measurement in improvement
  • Making changes
  • PDSA (Plan, Do, Study, Act) cycles

Resources and case studies are also included. A certificate is provided once you have completed all the modules.

The “Introduction to Quality Improvement” online modules can be accessed by signing up via this page.

In addition to the modules, we also offer QI clinics. These 1-2-1 sessions are available to those within the UCLPartners region and are an opportunity to discuss QI projects in detail.
