20 October 2023
Two of our board members have been recognised in the Health Service Journal (HSJ) 50 most influential Black, Asian, and minority ethnic leadership in healthcare list.

Jinjer Kandola MBE and Dame Donna Kinnair were both selected for the list, published this week (18 October).

The list highlights individuals who will exercise the most power and/ or influence in the NHS and health policy over the next 12 months.

Jinjer is Chief Executive of two mental health trusts in our region, Barnet Enfield and Haringey NHS Trust and Camden & Islington Foundation Trust.

Dame Donna is a non-executive director at Royal Free Hospital Foundation Trust and East London Foundation Trust, is on the board at the NHS Race and Health Observatory and is a trustee of the Burdett Trust for Nursing.

Commenting on the list, the HSJ noted that the leaders included “are not afraid to outline their views on some of the most fundamental issues of the day – workforce retention, financial stability, clinical leadership, inequalities and racism.”

Dr Chris Laing, Chief Executive Officer said: “We are absolutely delighted that our board members Jinjer and Donna have been recognised in this way. Well deserved! “
