UCLPartners appoints Steve Thornton as Interim Managing Director
Steve joins us from Queen Mary University of London where he is Vice Principal (Health) and Executive Dean for School of Medicine and Dentistry. Steve is currently a member of the UCLPartners Board where he co-leads our Academic Health Science Centre, which accelerates research into practice. He is also a Consultant Obstetrician and board member at Barts Health NHS Trust.
Steve will take up the post in July 2021, when current UCLPartners Managing Director Professor Mike Roberts is stepping down to take up the position of Chief Executive Officer of Better Safer Care in Melbourne, Australia.

A recruitment process for the substantive Managing Director post will begin in July 2021.
