UCLPartners annual report 2014/15

10 June 2015

UCLPartners’ second annual report highlights the progress made during 2014/15 by the AHSC, AHSN, Clinical Research Network North Thames and Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research North Thames, as well as the North Thames Genomic Medicine Centre and the organisation’s role as an Education Lead Provider.

UCLPartners supported the partnership by working both within and across sectors to break down the perceived barriers to delivery and implementation; ensure alignment of values and bringing people together for a common purpose. The annual report shows the step change that individuals and organisations have taken to work together to put patients at the centre of all care and services.

Key highlights from the year include:

  • Completing the ground work to address the major health inequalities the region experiences in cancer and cardiovascular disease
  • Improving access to innovative trial treatments for over 40,000 people through the Clinical Research Network
  • Improving quality of care and patient experience for people with dementia by training more than 29,000 staff
  • Establishing the North Thames Genomic Medicine Centre, which is set to be the largest contributor in the country to the 100,000 Genomes Project.

UCLPartners will continue to work with and support the partners to improve health and increase wealth for our local population, the UK and globally.
