UCLPartners and UCL Health Alliance join to form a single health innovation partnership
We are welcoming the North Central London Health Alliance, the provider collaborative for North Central London (NCL), into UCLPartners, where it will operate as a division. Bringing the NCL provider collaborative into UCLPartners, under unified executive and board oversight, is an opportunity to align our research translation and innovation pipeline with the NCL provider collaborative’s work in clinical service transformation.
We are delighted to welcome the NCL provider collaborative into the UCLPartners family. I am looking forward to working with Kate Petts, the alliance managing director, and the rest of the alliance team.
We are the first partner organisation in England to now incorporate an Academic Health Science Centre, Health Innovation Network and a provider collaborative incorporating all healthcare providers in a sector.
I think this is a great opportunity for us to deliver a pipeline of novel health and care solutions (digital, therapies, diagnostics, AI) into new models of care for acute and chronic disease to the benefit of the local population. It is also a great opportunity for us to be more efficient, aligned and reduce complexity in the healthcare system at a time when this will be welcomed.
Chris Laing, UCLPartners CEO
UCLPartners will continue to work as a health innovation partnership across Mid and South Essex, North East London and north Central London.
