Professor Martin Marshall elected Royal College of General Practitioners’ Vice Chair

Martin MarshallUCLPartners’ Programme Director for Primary Care Development, Professor Martin Marshall, has been elected as the new Vice Chair for External Affairs at the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP). Martin will take up the role on 19 November for a three-year term.

In addition to this role and his work at UCLPartners, Martin is also Professor of Healthcare Improvement at UCL and leads Improvement Science London – an initiative to promote and embed the science of improvement across both the health service and academic sectors.

Martin has been a GP for 28 years and now serves an inner city community in Newham, East London.

Martin was elected for the RCGP role from a group of four candidates, following a ballot of council members.
