Call for abstracts: military clinical practice or research

11 November 2020
We’re calling for abstracts with a theme relevant to military clinical practice or research for the “Health research and innovation: the Defence Medical Services and the NHS” online conference on Friday 12 March 2021.

Organised by 256 (City of London) Field Hospital, and sponsored by UCLPartners, the conference explores health service research and innovation developed in the military that is relevant to the NHS, and vice versa.

While there have always been strong links between the Armed Forces and the NHS, the response to the COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated the collective power of the military and NHS for healthcare innovation. For example the rapid set up of the Nightingale hospitals was a collaborative effort drawing together clinicians from across the NHS as well as military medics and other Armed Forces staff.

Submissions should include the name and contact details of the presenter.  Audit projects, original research and examples of innovation are acceptable.  Early career researchers are encouraged to apply.

How to submit

Abstracts should be submitted by email to contact@uclpartners.com by noon 1 December 2020.
