Lola Adegunle
Senior Human Resources Business Partner, Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust

Lola is an HR professional, mediator and innovator. She has held senior roles in a variety of public and private sector organisations and is currently employed at Mid and South Essex Foundation Trust as a HR Business Partner. Lola is passionate about employee relations and has successfully dealt with range of workplace issues during her career.

Recognising the need for employees to voice concerns quickly and conveniently without fear, Lola created ‘Note and Nip-it’, an innovative app which allows employees to raise concerns with the option of anonymity. Her ambition is to transform the culture of the NHS by empowering employees to speak up and to ‘nip’ concerns in the ‘bud’ before they escalate.

He founded ‘Shift Partner’ in 2017 to address some of the fundamental causes of the staffing crisis within the NHS, with a deeply held belief that, as one of the largest employers in the world, opportunities to build long term careers should be unrivalled. Shift Partner supports the NHS in delivering its long term workforce plan, engaging and developing staff, promoting functional and spatial flexibility.
Dr Naveen Keerthi
Locum Registrar, Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust

Naveen is an International medical graduate (IMG) who moved from India to the UK. Alongside his locum registrar work in orthopaedics, he is part of Silverstone circuit’s race track doctors for Formula 1 and Moto GP races. He completed a mini MBA from Stanford University and is part of NHS England’s Clinical Entrepreneur Programme.

During his tenure working in the NHS, Naveen observed that the traditional HR processes caused undue delays for overseas recruitment. Further, mismatched expectations of overseas staff and NHS support can cause distress. He built the ‘Doc2uk’ platform with a clear intention to address this issue. Naveen’s experiences as an IMG doctor, working in his home country to working within the NHS, has personalised his recruitment model for the benefit of the NHS and future IMG doctors.
Michael Chalmers
Head of Mental Health Law, Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust

Mike has spent the last sixteen years working in mental health law governance roles within the NHS and is currently Head of Mental Health Law at Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust and Chair of the London Mental Health Law Network (a weekly forum for healthcare provider heads of mental health law).

Frustrated by the deficiencies of Mental Health Act (MHA) functionality in primary patient record systems he has, since 2013, been developing a comprehensive database solution for MHA administration and governance called ‘SideKick’ that he hopes to scale up and offer to other NHS providers.
