Involvement Leads Network meeting
26 March, 9.30am - 12.30pm
Our Involvement Leads Network connects patients, carers and members of the public with people who have roles that focus on leading patient and public involvement or engagement within their organisation, both within our partnership, and outside of it.
The Network aims to support the sharing of knowledge and information across our partnership, spreading best practice for patient and public involvement and engagement. It provides an opportunity for peers to work together and learn from each other.
This is the first meeting of 2019.
The agenda includes:
- Emily O’Byrne, Patient Research Ambassador and Christine Menzies, Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement Manager, NIHR Clinical Research Network. ‘CRN North Thames Patient Research Ambassadors – an overview’
- Jonathan Berry, NHS England. ‘A brief introduction to health literacy’
- Amy Price, Patient Editor (Research and Evaluation), BMJ. ‘Patient and public involvement/engagement in healthcare – a positive step forward. But what are the negatives?’
