Join UCLPartners for a webinar exploring the Bedside Learning Co-ordinator (BLC) Role, hearing first-hand from organisations and staff that have adopted the role. We will also share resources, tools and upcoming community events designed to support the BLC role.

About this Event

In this webinar, we will focus on:

  • Sharing key learnings from organisations and staff who have adopted the BLC role.
  • Showcasing a web-based app developed in partnership with Telesoftas to allow BLCs to capture insights directly into an online database.
  • Providing further information about the upcoming BLC community of practice, as an opportunity to share experiences and learn from others.

For our panel discussion, we will be joined by:

  • Jenny Shand; Director, UCLPartners
  • Nicole Lee; Burns matron, Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
  • Amy Wood; Head of Quality Governance and Patient Experience, Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust
  • Mary France Jardiel; Innovation Project Lead, Care City

Join us to hear examples of this work, how it was implemented and what lessons there are for others looking to adopt the BLC role in their setting. You can read more about the BLC role before the webinar in our recently published paper in BMJ Quality and Safety here.

Format

There will be a brief presentation at the start of the session to introduce the BLC role, followed by a panel discussion and opportunity for open questions from participants. If you have any questions you would like to submit ahead of the session, please include them when you register. We will then share an app which has been developed, in partnership with Telesoftas, to support the BLC role, as well as providing further information about useful resources and our upcoming BLC Community of Practice.

The session will be held on Zoom and you will require a link to join. This will be circulated to all registered participants 24 hours before the event starts.
