Mainstreaming Genomic Medicine Programme: Genetic Testing in Cancer. An Introduction to Genomics
The online sessions will involve a series of interactive workshops and Q&A sessions with the faculty and include signposting for further development/support opportunities
This programme aims to support healthcare professionals who have been or will be involved in the consenting of patients for genomic testing and the requesting of genetic/genomic tests.
About this session
This 90-minute session includes 4 interactive sessions
- Principles of genomic testing and clinical applications
- The consent conversation
- Implications of results
- Ethical, legal, and social issues of genome testing
Other specialist session dates:
These 60-minute sessions will focus on the practical application within specific cancer types.
All participants are required to attend the core session before attending a specialist session.
**Please note you will need to attend the main session before going to either/both specialists sessions.
