Introduction to Quality Improvement online training modules

The “Introduction to Quality Improvement” modules provide both knowledge and practical support to understand what quality improvement (QI) is and how to implement a QI project. These modules have been developed and delivered by our Quality Improvement team based on the Institute of Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Model for Improvement (MFI).

The modules are aimed at anyone undertaking a quality improvement project in healthcare, or anyone interested in making improvements and is new to QI.

The modules are free to access and can be completed at a pace that suits you.

The modules include:

  • An overview of QI
  • Where to start your QI project
  • Understanding measurement in improvement
  • Making changes
  • PDSA (Plan, Do, Study, Act) cycles

Resources and case studies are also included. A certificate is provided once you have completed all the modules.
