ImproveWell app pilot scheme

The ImproveWell app enables frontline healthcare staff to submit improvement ideas to their leadership teams, who in turn comment, feedback and ultimately support change and champion ideas to facilitate improvements that make a real difference to patient care and staff experience.

The app was amongst the first cohort of digital technologies supported by the DigitalHealth.London Accelerator.

We invited organisations from across acute, community and public health settings within our partnership to apply to be part of the pilot scheme. The organisations who took part in the pilot were:

2018:

2019:

Following the pilot programme there was an opportunity to apply for funding for an additional year’s access to the app.

Feedback from the pilots

Debbie Johnson of Southend CCG, a participant from our first ImproveWell pilot scheme said:

“The communication between our CCG and the GP practice was already good, especially with primary care managers, but the mobile app has enabled us to be more proactive about informing the CCG of ideas for improvements. It allows the CCG time to consider, plan and act on ideas for possible future processes.”

In her blog about participating in our first ImproveWell pilot scheme, Alana Ahmet, junior doctor and psychiatric trainee at NELFT said:

“ImproveWell proved to be a useful tool for bridging the gap between problems and solutions; it helped to validate the concerns of junior doctors and equip them with the tools to move forward with solutions.”
