Senior Clinical Lead, Cancer pathway improvement

The Opportunity
We are delighted to open this opportunity to all senior clinical leaders with specific expertise in cancer care within the UCLPartners geography. This is to support a broad programme of work with the Mid and South Essex NHS Trusts and the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System. The programme would concentrate on a small number of cancer pathways to improve earlier diagnosis and using actionable data insights and quality improvement methodology to improve cancer outcomes for the population of Mid and South Essex.
The Applicant
The successful applicant would work with healthcare professionals within the local health system together with additional improvement and data specialists including from DATA-CAN, the cancer specific health data research hub of HDR-UK, and the NHS North Thames Genomic Medicine Service Alliance, both hosted by UCLPartners. They should have a track record in using routine cancer data for service improvement work and working with MDTs.
Terms and Conditions
This would be a 2PA per week remunerated secondment from 1 October until 31 March 2022 with potential to extend for a further 12 months after review.
