The Role

This is a new and exciting executive role within UCLPartners and the broader UK health innovation and enterprise environment.

As Chief Enterprise Officer you will lead on strategic enterprise and industry initiatives and programmes on behalf of UCLPartners. You will ensure that our health innovation system is supported by strong industry partnership and that innovation leads to commercially viable and sustainable improvements in health and wealth.

As National Director for the NHS Innovation Accelerator (NIA) you will provide senior leadership to this high-profile national programme, supporting a cohort of exceptional innovators as they scale their solutions nationally.

You will report directly to the UCLPartners Chief Executive.

You will work closely with the UCLPartners executive team and the relevant leadership of our partner organisations across higher education, providers and integrated care systems, working in close partnership with MedCity. In your NIA role you will be accountable to the NIA board and work closely with innovation partners across the AHSN Network and NHS Innovation ecosystem (specifically the NHS England Innovation, Research and Life Science group and the Accelerated Access Collaborative).

You will lead talented and committed enterprise and NIA teams. You will be supported by a Director of Enterprise who will also be Deputy Director of the NIA.

The Terms

This is a full-time reporting into UCLPartners Chief Executive Officer.  The remuneration for this post is competitive depending on skills and experience with a salary range of £85,000 to £140,000 per annum, pro rata.

As part of benefits package employees are entitled to 27 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays), company pension (employer contribution 10% of annual salary), life assurance coverage and childcare vouchers.
