Elias is the Deputy Head, Commercial and Innovation, at UCLPartners, responsible for delivering the Real World Validation function. He works closely with clinical partners, healthcare companies and national stakeholders to enable adoption and spread of innovation in the clinical setting. He also oversees delivery of Accelerated Access Rapid Uptake Products (RUPs) and the MedTech Funding Mandate, and is the Environmental Sustainability lead.
Prior to joining UCLPartners, Elias was the Programme lead for MedCity’s Collaborate to Innovate programmes, leading on collaborative projects between industry and research centres across the London AHSCs. He also led the design, set up and management of the Advanced Therapies Network on behalf of London Advanced Therapies to support and promote research in cell and gene therapies across the UK, and has been part of international initiatives to promotes UK’s life sciences capabilities. Elias also managed the NIHR London IVD MIC based at Imperial College, and led its successful relicensing application.
He holds an MSc in Healthcare Management from the University of Surrey, and an Honours degree in Biology, Biomolecular Sciences and Biotechnology. He is also an accredited Prince2 practitioner.
