Aiysha Saleemi

Senior Implementation Manager

Aiysha’s role in the Primary Care Innovation team includes developing a framework for multidisciplinary primary care teams to support patients with long term conditions . It has gained interest nationally and she hopes to support the implementation of this framework and education of the wider primary care workforce in the coming months. Within her Patient Safety role, she has been working on a national project to reduce medication administration errors in care homes.

Aiysha has been a qualified pharmacist for 12 years and has worked in various sectors, including hospital pharmacy, Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and primary care. She completed her Darzi Fellowship at the Health Innovation Network, where she first gained experience with working with care homes. This helped her to understand the system better for the national medicines safety work that she is currently involved with.

Aiysha is committed to continuing professional development and has been studying throughout her career. She completed a post-graduate diploma in General Pharmacy Practice at UCL and then undertook an independent prescribing course at Hertfordshire University.
