Dr Naveen Keerthi
Locum Registrar, Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust

Naveen is an International medical graduate (IMG) who moved from India to the UK. Alongside his locum registrar work in orthopaedics, he is part of Silverstone circuit’s race track doctors for Formula 1 and Moto GP races. He completed a mini MBA from Stanford University and is part of NHS England’s Clinical Entrepreneur Programme.

During his tenure working in the NHS, Naveen observed that the traditional HR processes caused undue delays for overseas recruitment. Further, mismatched expectations of overseas staff and NHS support can cause distress. He built the ‘Doc2uk’ platform with a clear intention to address this issue. Naveen’s experiences as an IMG doctor, working in his home country to working within the NHS, has personalised his recruitment model for the benefit of the NHS and future IMG doctors.
