About us

We are health innovation specialists. We identify the most promising ideas and innovations that can solve real world problems. Collaborating across academia, healthcare, communities and industry, we test, build, invent and scale solutions to create a healthcare system that is fit for the future.

We focus on the biggest health challenges facing our communities and NHS colleagues across North Central and North East London. These include tackling cardiovascular diseases, young people’s mental health, and climate change to name a few.

Our people are our business. Our success is a direct result of their expertise and dedication. We foster a culture of inclusivity and are dedicated to creating a workplace environment where everyone can thrive. Aiming to recruit and retain the very best talent, we place a high priority on developing our innovation capability to best meet the needs of our partners. Our learning and development programme is bespoke to the needs of our organisation and delivered by subject matter experts, including behavioural scientists and healthcare educationalists.

We recognise that the impact we can have extends beyond delivery of our programmes of work. We pay attention to our organisational contribution within our local ecosystem and work hard to be a good employer. Our governance structure includes dedicated staff groups driving our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) agendas.

Our EDI group drives meaningful change by tackling barriers to equality and promoting a culture of respect, belonging, and psychological safety across our organisation. Through campaigns like Reclaiming Narratives and safe space initiatives, the group amplifies diverse voices and supports staff wellbeing. In our latest staff survey, 75% of staff felt they had the knowledge and skills to embed equality, diversity and inclusion into their work. We continue to support the Health Data Research UK Black Internship Programme, with one of our interns winning the poster prize for a second year running.

Our ESG group has introduced a green travel policy, reviewed our procurement processes, and is actively working to reduce our carbon footprint. By embedding sustainability into our operations, the group is helping shape a more responsible and future-focused organisation.

In addition, we have signed the menopause workplace pledge and set up an advisory group to share awareness, encourage open conversations and drive a supportive workplace for all.
