The new workforce in Primary Care – Maximising the opportunities for all

21 January 2020, 6pm - 8pm | UCLPartners, Boardroom, 3rd Floor
UCLPartners’ Primary, Community Care and Population Health Network Evening on 21st Jan 2020 provides an opportunity for PCN Clinical Directors and Clinical Pharmacists with colleagues to explore further the opportunities to work together and integrate new workforce roles into their Primary Care Network model.

Primary and Community Care and Population Health at UCLPartners, invites you to our next Network Evening hosted by our Primary Care Clinical Lead Dr Zenobia Sheikh.

It will be a chance to understand the emerging roles of our Clinical Pharmacists, the challenges they encounter and their vital contribution to managing our complex Primary Care patients. We will together explore ways to approach target disease areas such as Cardiovascular Prevention and Mental Health, to provide impact at a whole population health level.

The NHS Long Term Plan sets out an ambitious strategy for prevention of 150,000 incidences of stroke and heart attack. Primary Care is at the heart of meaningful transformation for CVD prevention in particular, as it is in Primary Care where high risk factors are detected and managed (e.g. atrial fibrillation, blood pressure and cholesterol).

We hope our popular networking evening event, on 21st January , affords us the opportunity to draw on all our expertise in an informal setting with the ambition to provide more information, tools and methods to optimise care for our Primary Care Network Populations going forward.
