UCLPartners progress receives praise from NHS England

19 July 2016

For the first time UCLPartners Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) has achieved green, on-track status for all 25 work streams submitted to NHS England as part of the quarterly assurance process. The report covers the period April-June, quarter one 2016/17.

The aim of the assurance process is to take stock of the progress of AHSNs in delivering agreed milestones on a quarterly basis throughout the year, and to identify where NHS England or other bodies might be able to support AHSNs in delivering objectives. The process should also offer an opportunity for AHSNs to highlight any major risks which NHS England might need to be aware of.

The team at UCLPartners was formally congratulated by Andy Mitchell, Medical Director for NHS England London Region and Lucy Grothier Associate Director, Strategic Clinical Networks who were unaware that this had been achieved by any AHSN previously.

Dr Charlie Davie, Managing Director of UCLPartners AHSN said: “It’s fantastic to share the progress we are making across the partnership.  It’s thanks to the commitment of our staff and the involvement from many colleagues across the partners that we can demonstrate such achievements.”

The full quarter one report can be viewed on the UCLPartners website.
