Cathy is Director of Informatics, facilitating partners to develop and implement a common framework of harmonised approaches to enable effective and responsible data sharing that will improve connectedness across the partnership; will facilitate standardisation of care pathways; will enable us to monitor clinical outcomes so we are always providing the best care for our patients; and will maintain our world renowned reputation for research and innovation.

Cathy was Consultant Physician at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for 12 years and had a clinical leadership role in informatics and eHealth within NHS Lothian before becoming national clinical lead for eHealth at Scottish Government in 2008. She chaired the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges working group who developed the eHealth Competency Framework for postgraduate medical training.  Cathy became Medical Director of a Scottish biomedical informatics company in 2011.
